Take A Ride on the Flying Trapeze

If you have always dreamed of running away with the circus, here’s your opportunity.

The “Amazing Portable Circus of Cincinnati” is now offering trapeze lessons.

Anyone who does not have a fear of heights and is between the ages of 13 and 100 in reasonable health can do it.  Don’t worry.  They hook you up to a tether line that you wear while climbing the ladder as well as while you are flying and there is also a very large net to catch you if you fall.  Still you are about 35 feet up in the air so when you leap off the platform to swing to another trapeze that is like flying between two four story buildings.

It costs 45 dollars on weekdays and 55 dollars on weekends for an adult to experience the thrill of high-flying on a trapeze, kids are 35 dollars all week.  While the experience is as safe as they can make it, you will be required to sign a release form before they will allow you to climb the ladder.

The school is the brainchild of Dave Willacker, a former high school teacher and juggler.

The Trapeze school is located on the Newport Levee 24 East 3rd Street, Newport, Kentucky, next to the Brio’s Restaurant.  Phone: 513-921-5454 or visit their website at: http://www.amazingportablecircus.com

The school is closed on Tuesdays.  They plan to be open this year until mid-October.  Reservations are needed to fly on the trapeze.
